At Amnis we practice an unifying philosophy in our investment activities that is closely tied to the beliefs of the founders and directors of the firm.
Risk-Reward
Amnis provides investment management where potential reward strongly outweighs entailed risk. We seek to control risk and place the highest priority on preventing losses, before seeking prospective profits. We do not simply accept above average risk, we focus on superior preformance at all times.
Consistency
At Amnis we believe in consistent above average results rather than spectacular successes followed by critical failures. It is our belief that a superior record is built only through consistency and reliability. Creating consistency in volatile markets is one of the skills that sets Amnis apart.
Knowledge
Before investing we strive to develop an advantage by gaining knowledge and insight, through skill, experience, research and analysis. Access to information is necessary to develop such an advantage and we only invest in markets, companies and projects where the appropriate knowledge and insights have been acquired.
Specialization
It is our belief that only through specialization the desired results can be realized. Therefore we apply a high degree of focus for each portfolio, practicing a single investment specialty. The focus for each specialy under each asset class is well defined and maintained. For our investors this creates clarity as our performance always follows from a focused strategy. This way, investors interested in a single asset class or specialty can get exactly what they want; Investors more interested in combining classes can mix our portfolios as they see fit.
Bottom-up
Our research and analysis are always proprietary and company-specific, and through superior knowledge and insight in companies and their assets in relation to the markets and fields they operate in, desired performance is realised. Therefore, our investment process is bottom-up, and we employ this approach rather than analyzing macro-trends to guide investment decision-making.
